PostRun Privacy Policy
Limited use of run data for customization and sharing.
1. Who we are
PostRun is an app developed by Ansatz Studios. If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or PostRun's handling of data, you can contact us at [email protected].
2. What PostRun does
PostRun helps users customize run statistics and prepare those stats for sharing on social platforms. The app is intended to connect to services such as Garmin and Strava through OAuth so users can bring in their run information and personalize how it is presented.
3. Data and permissions requested
PostRun only intends to request read permissions that are necessary to retrieve a user's run data from supported providers such as Garmin and Strava. The goal of this access is to fetch activity details like run metrics and related summary information so users can customize their stats.
PostRun does not intend to request write permissions to a user's Garmin or Strava account.
4. How we use the data
We do not intend to read, access, or store user data for anything more than allowing users to customize their run stats and generate share-ready output. In plain terms, the data is used so the app can show the user's run information, let the user choose how it appears, and help them prepare that content for posting on social media.
5. What we do not intend to do
- We do not intend to collect data unrelated to the app's run-stat customization purpose.
- We do not intend to sell user data.
- We do not intend to use the data for advertising or unrelated profiling.
- We do not intend to request more permissions than are needed for the feature to work.
6. Storage and retention
PostRun is designed around minimal data use. To the extent any data is temporarily processed or stored, the intention is to limit that storage to what is necessary to provide the customization experience and support the user-requested output. We do not intend to retain user data longer than needed for that purpose.
7. Third-party services
If you connect Garmin or Strava, those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. PostRun accesses their APIs only to retrieve the information needed for the app's features. Users should review the privacy materials of those providers for details about how they handle account data.
8. User controls
Users may disconnect third-party account access through the relevant provider or by contacting us. If a user no longer wants PostRun to access their run information, they may revoke OAuth access in their Garmin or Strava account settings.
9. Children's privacy
PostRun is not intended for children under 13, and we do not intend to knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves, including when Garmin or Strava integrations move from development to broader release. Any updates will be posted at this page with a revised date.
